Heres a recap of what I have done over the past week…I forgot what I did last Monday…hehe…on Tuesday we were supposed to go back to college to collect our leaving certificates and verify our testimonial write-ups…after that I went out with my class guys…first we accompanied my friend to the airport for his interview…finding the destination of the interview was hard enough…we went through corridors and many doors before we found our destination…it looked like a particular scene in the matrix reloaded when seraph led neo to see the oracle…the corridors that we walked in kind of resembled that…

After my friend’s interview we went to the airport workers canteen to eat…haven’t gone there since when I was still very young…then we went to safra tampines to play bowling…we played 2 games…I got 131 pinfalls for my first game!...happy happy…but kind of lousy for second game…but my technique is definitely wrong because the ball always falls onto the ground with a super loud thump…but who cares…I am happy enough if score exceeds 100…hehe…

After that we went to tm…went to play the xbox 360 that a shop placed on display for people to try out…it was a driving game that was based on how many cars you managed to send crashing…in my opinion it’s a fun mode of car gaming because my steering has always sucked…hehe…after that we went to watch casino royale at gv tm…I think I will try not to go to gv again…because the seats are super cramped…and I don’t really get the movie…particularly the gambling parts because I don’t understand the rules of poker…(anyway I have read up the plot on wikipedia and now I understand it better)

Wednesday was tpjc prom…I didn’t go…yes I could afford the 80 bucks for the tix…but I simply found it nonsensical to play 80 bucks for a meal and…perhaps some ambience?!...its absolutely atrocious…I didn’t want to part with 80 dollars to say…have a lesson in etiquette?!...i find no sense in it…that’s why I hated prom and didn’t go…BUT BUT…majority of my friends went…I guess its just a case of different-people-have-different-views kind of thing…so I respect their decisions nonetheless…and hope all of them especially my classmates enjoyed themselves…which I am pretty sure they did…

Thursday I went down to bras basah complex to buy my guzheng strings because I snapped one of them during practice…I bought extra just in case…and they cost in total 30+ dollars!?...just a few strands of metal wrapped in nylon…I guess I bought a tad too many extra…that’s why it SEEMS expensive…hehe…

Friday I went to the sports museum (at national stadium) tour with jy and jj…seriously sports MUSEUM…the exhibits are real old…and we saw people like joscelin yeo in their younger days…we also went round the national stadium and I can only describe it as RUN-DOWN…nothing else to say…

Friday also heralded the start of the 15th asian games doha 2006…till now team Singapore has won 2 silvers and 2 bronzes…the shock was that remy ong finished 37th in the singles…I guess its seriously too much stress…carrying the hopes of the nation, the tag of defending asiad champion…and reigning world champion…add to that the responsibility of team captain…I guess its just too much…what matters most at the end though is that he tried his best in both his preparations and his competition..and that he has learnt experiences from the tournament itself…

Yesterday I went out and ate lunch at 4.30! I was starting to have gastric pain already…and I ate fast food!... if I lived in the us and I read fast food nation…probably I will abstain from fast food altogether…but the key is that we are in Singapore and whatever unhygienic stuff the author described was using usa as a case study…so I guess the impacts not so great on me…nevertheless I think I will try to avoid fast food as much as I can…

on my way home I went to the library and borrowed The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini…it’s a book recommended in the Read! Singapore campaign this year…guess its going to be nice…since it was also a nyt bestseller…I guess I love reading…because I was simply ecstatic when I got my hands on that book…currently I am about 10 pages away from finishing my fast food nation…and I am also reading wei4 si1 li3…in my opinion…reading is something so valuable, its imperative that one makes it an integral part to his or her life…
